2018 GAME RESULTS

Game 1 - Franklin @ GHS.    Opening game of the season, Franklin scored the first goal in the 5th minute of the game.  Greendale tied the game in the 16th minute when junior midfielder Dominic Wichgers was taken down in the box, penalty was scored by junior captain Sebastian Lechuga.  Franklin added a second on a long range shot in the 31st minute making it 2 to 1 at half.  Although the both teams had several good chances in the second, the score remain 2 to 1 in favor of Franklin.  Woodland:  0-0-0;  Overall:  0-1-0

Game 2 - GHS @ Oak Creek.  The Panthers opened up scoring in the first 13 seconds of the game on a goal by junior captain Jacob Smittsdorff, assisted by Petar Vorkapich.  The second goal by Greendale came in the 35th minute on a goal by Freshman forward Nick Litzau, making it a 2 nil halftime score.  No goals were scored in the second as it remained a 2 nil victory.  Senior goalkeeper Nick Richlen earned his first shutout of the season.  Woodland:  0-0-0;  Overall:  1-1-0

​Game 3 - West Allis Central at GHS.  The game remained scoreless until the 26th minute when junior Petar Vorkapich was taken down in the penalty box, PK was scored by junior captain midfielder Jacob Smittsdorff.  The second Panther goal came in the 40th minute on a goal once again by Smittsdorf, assisted by sophomore Nikola Mastilovic, making it a 2 nil halftime lead.  Smittsdorff struck again on a free kick in the 53rd minute and the fourth and final goal of the game was scored by Freshman forward Nick Litzau, resulting in a 4 nil Greendale victory.  Junior goalkeeper Pedro Alvarado earned the shutout.  Woodland:  1-0-0;  Overall:  2-1-0

​Game 4 - GHS at Shorewood.  The game remained scoreless until the 43rd minute of the game when Shorewood scored on an outside shot to make it a 1 nil at halftime.  The second for the Greyhounds came in the second minute of the second half.  Greendale brought it within one on a goal by sophomore Nikola Mastilovic, assisted by senior captain Jacob Smittsdorff.  Shorewood added a third in the 86th minute making it a 3 to 1 final.  Woodland:  1-1-0;  Overall:  2-2-0

Game 5 - Brown Deer at GHS.  First goal of the match by Greendale came in the 7th minute of the game on a goal by Freshman forward Nick Litzau served from a cross by senior midfielder Connor Loeffler.  The second was scored in the 12th on a goal by junior midfielder Dominic Wichgers, assisted by Nick Litzau.  The third once again by Nick Litzau on an assist by junior captain Jacob Smitsdorff.  Litzau's hat trick goal (3rd of the first half) came a minute later (assist Wichgers.)  The fifth was scored by Domic Wichgers in the 26th minute (assist Smitsdorff,) and the final goal of the first half was scored with a close range shot by junior captain defender Sebastian Lechuga in the 35th minute making it a 6 nil halftime lead.  Jacob Smitsdorff opened up scoring in the 51st minute (assist Jalen Ramirez) and the final of the game came in the 55th on a goal by Ramirez (assist Litzau,) making it an 8 nil final score.  Senior goalkeeper Austin Sabbar earned the conference shutout.  Woodland:  2-1-0;  Overall:  3-2-0

​Game 6 - GHS at Greenfield.  Once again, Greendale scored the first goal of the game on a goal by junior midfielder Dominic Wichgers in the 5th minute, assisted by junior captain Jacob Smitsdorff.  The second goal came in the 25th on a close range shot by Freshman forward Nick Litzau.  The third of the half was scored on an outside shot by sophomre Andrew Muehr, assisted by sophomore Jonny Hottinger, making it 3 nil at halftime.  The fourth was scored on a penalty by Smitsdorff after being taken down inside the penalty box in the 78th minute.  The fifth came on a near post goal in the 84th minute by Freshman Colin Remington and the sixth and final goal came on a rocket shot once again from Smitsdorff making it a 6 nil victory for the Panthers.  Woodland:  3-1-0;  Overall:  4-2-0

​Game 7 - GHS at Pewaukee.  It was a tough battle against the defending conference champs, Greendale had one taken off the line in the first 15 minutes of the game.  Unfortunately, the Pirates scored on a close range shot in the 40th minute making it 1 nil at half.  The game was at a high pace for both teams but the second half remain scoreless resulting in a 1 nil loss.                                          Woodland:  3-2-0;  Overall:  4-3-0

​Game 8 - New Berlin West at GHS.  Greendale opened up the scoring in the 21st minute on a head ball free kick goal by junior midfielder Jalen Ramirez, served in by junior captain defender Sebastian Lechuga.  New Berlin West tied the game in the 40th minute where the score remained a draw after the first half.  The second goal was also scored by Ramirez on a break away in the 66th minute of the game.  Both teams had several good chances, the score remained 2 to 1 in favor of the Panthers. 
Woodland:  4-2-0;  Overall:  5-3-0

​Game 9 - Wisconsin Lutheran at GHS.  The game remained scoreless until the 34th minute of the game when Freshman Nick Litzau scored (first time strike) off a cross from junior forward Taylore Knepper.  Wisco scored with a minute remaining in the first, making it 1 apiece after the first half.  Greendale had many opportunities in the second in which they were denied by the woodwork several times.  It wasn't until the 89th minute when one of the Wisco players was called for a handball inside their own box.  The penalty was scored by senior captain Sebastian Lechuga, making it 2 to 1 in favor of GHS.  Woodland:  5-2-0;  Overall:  6-3-0

​Game 10 - GHS at Pius XI.  The game did not start well for the Panther, Pius scored the first goal in the first 30 seconds of the game.  They added a second in the 39th minute making it 2 nil at halftime.  A third was added in the second making it a 3 nil final loss.    Woodland:  5-3-0;  Overall:  6-4-0

​Game 11 - GHS at Whitnall.  Greendale had very good possession with opportunities to score in the first half but was unsuccessful.  Unfortunately, Whitnall scored on an outside shot in the second and ended up winning the game by a score of 1 nil.                Woodland:  5-4-0;  Overall:  6-5-0

Game 12 - Mukwonago at GHS.  A very strong non-conference opponent, the Panthers had one great opportunity in the first but could not find the back of the net in which the first half remained scoreless.  Unfortunately, Mukwonago scored in the 63rd and 76th minutes of the game resulting in a 2 nil final score.  Woodland:  5-4-0;  Overall:  6-6-0

​Game 13 - Milwaukee Lutheran at GHS.  Greendale finally got on the board scoring in the 14th minute on a goal by junior forward Jalen Ramirez.  The second for the Panthers came in the 23rd minute on a goal by senior midfielder Connor Loeffler, assisted by Ramirez.  The third was scored in the 35th on a goal by senior captain Sebastian Lechuga, assisted by senior midfielder Miguel Villafuerte.  The fourth and final of the first half came in the 44th minute on a long range shot by sophomore forward Nikola Mastilovic assisted by Lachuga.  The fifth and final goal of the game came in the 54th by junior defender Drew Mitchell, resulting in a 5 nil final.  Senior captain goalkeeper earned the shutout.  The game was called after 55 minutes due to weather.  Woodland:  6-4-0;  overall:  7-6-0

​Game 14 - GHS at South Milwaukee.  Scoring opened up in the 6th minute of the game by GHS on a goal by junior midfielder Dominic Wichgers, assisted by Freshman Nick Litzau.  The second came in the 37th minute on a goal by sophomore Adam Hanizeski.  South Milwaukee scored a goal on a deflection, making it 2 to 1 at halftime.  The third goal for the Panthers came in the 74th minute of the game when Jacob Smitsdorff was taken down inside the box and scored the penalty kick.  The fourth and final goal came in the 88th minute from a close range shot by junior defender Tommy Hess, making it a 4 to 1 final in favor of the Panthers.
​Woodland:7-4-0;  Overall:8-6-0

​Game 15 - GHS at Tosa East.  Greendale once again opened up the scoring in the 30th minute on a goal by Freshman Nick Litzau from close range.  Tosa East tied the game just before half, resulting in a 1 to 1 tie at the break.  Tosa was then awarded a penalty kick at the 62 minute mark in which the game ended 2 to 1 in favor of the red raiders, despite a great game and effort by the Panthers.  Woodland:  7-4-0;  Overall:  8-7-0

Game 16 - Cudahy at GHS (Senior Night) - First goal for GHS came in the 3rd minute of the game by junior forward Jalen Ramirez, assisted by senior Connor Loeffler.  Ramirez struck again on an outside shot in the 34th minute (assist Jacob Smitsdorff,) making it a 2 nil halftime score.  The third goal came in the 54th minute scored by junior midfielder Jacob Smitsdorff, assisted by junior captain Sebastian Lechuga.  The fourth in the 59th minute scored from close range by Dominic Wichgers (assist Max Berner.)  Freshman Nick Litzau struck the back of the net in the 70th, assisted by Freshman Colin Remington.  The final goal came in the 72nd minute by Jalen Ramirez (hat trick,) resulting in a 6 nil victory in favor of the Panthers.  Senior captain goalkeeper Austin Sabbar earned the shutout.  Woodland:  8-4-0;  Overall:  9-7-0

Game 17 - GHS at New Berlin Eisenhower.  The first half remained scoreless as both teams fought hard to defend.  New Berlin struck in the second and several times after, resulting in a 3 nil loss.  The Panthers had very few chances especially since the last 30 minutes of the game were played in darkness.  Woodland:  8-5-0;  Overall:  9-8-0.

Game 18 - Muskego at GHS.  Muskego struck early and a second time in the first half, resulting in a 2 nil score.  Once again, GHS had difficulty finding the back of the net.  The second half remained scoreless, final score ended at 2 nil in favor of Muskego.          Woodland:  8-5-0;  Overall:  9-9-0

Game 19 - Waukesha North at GHS (WIAA Regional Final.)  Both teams played hard in the first half having several chances to score.  Halftime did remain scoreless even though it appeared Greendale had more possession and better chances.  The first goal came in the 65th minute off of a close range shot by junior defender Andrew Mitchell, assisted by junior midfielder Petar Vorkapich.  The second was served off of a corner and scored from close range by Junior forward Jalen Ramirez, assisted by senior captain midfielder Nick Richlen.  Senior captain goalkeeper Austin Sabbar earned the shutout.  Woodland:  8-5-0;  Overall:  10-9-0

Game 20 - GHS at Pewaukee (WIAA Regional Final.)  Greendale opened up the scoring in the middle of the first half on a goal scored by junior forward Jalen Ramirez, assisted by Nick Litzau.  Pewaukee tied the game up shortly after making it 1 to 1 at halftime.  Pewaukee scored in the second half resulting in a 2 to 1 loss for GHS.  Thanks to the parents and fan support throughout the season!  Woodland:  8-5-0;  Overall:  10-10-0
