2017 GAME RESULTS
Game 1 - Waukesha South @ GHS. The Panthers started slow as south scored in the third minute of the game. Greendale responded in the 5th on a goal by senior captain Michael Miksic on a long service by sophomore defender Sebastian Lechuga. South scored their second of the game in the 25th minute. Sophomore Jalen Ramirez responded to tie the game at 2 apiece in the 43rd, making it 2:2, at halftime (Lechuga, Miksic assists.) Senior forward Adam Krecak scored from a free kick served from outside the box by Miksic in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, south tied it 9 minutes later, resulting in a 3 to 3 tie. Woodland: 0-0-0; Overall: 0-0-1
Game 2 - GHS @ Franklin. Rough day for the Panthers as they gave up a goal early in the first half followed by a second making it a 2 nil halftime score. Franklin added a third in the second which ended in a 3 nil final in favor of the Sabers.

Game 3 - Oak Creek @ GHS. Scoring opened up in the 20th minute by Greendale on a corner served by senior captain Michael Miksic and headed in by sophomore defender Sebastian Lechuga. Oak Creek was awarded a free kick outside the penalty box in the 41st minute and scored to make it 1 to 1, which was the halftime score. Goals were again scored by Oak Creek in the 68th, 75th and 79th minutes of the game making it a 4 to 1 final in favor of the Knights. Very good showing by the Panthers for most of the game against a strong D1 Oak Creek squad. Woodland: 0-0-0; Overall: 0-2-1
Game 4 - GHS @ West Allis Central. First goal of the game scored by senior defender captain Jack McGee in the 10th minute of the game on an assist by senior captain midfielder Michael Miksic. The second goal for the Panthers came 3 minutes later on a shot by Miksic that deflected off of one of the Central defenders, making it 2 nil at half. The third and final goal of the game came in the 60th minute by sophomore midfielder Jacob Smitsdorff, assisted by Jack McGee. Final of the first conference game of the year was a 3 nil shutout win for GHS. Goalkeepers Pedro Alvarado and Austin Sabbar earned their first shutout of the season.

Game 5 - Shorewood at GHS. Second conference game of the year, Greendale gave up a goal in the 8th minute of the game on a headball. After a 45 minute storm delay, a second was scored by Shorewood making it a 2 nil loss for GHS, even though the team played relatively well and fought hard to the end. Woodland: 1-1-0; Overall: 1-3-1
Game 6 - GHS @ Brown Deer. The Panthers started off very slow against the Falcons, giving up two goals in the early part of the first half and down 2 nil at halftime. Brown Deer added a third in the middle of the second, but Greendale started a comeback when senior captain Michael Miksic was taken down in the box and the penalty was scored by sophomore defender Sebastian Lechuga in the 65th minute. A second goal was added by Miksic with 7 minutes remaining on a strong shot that hit the crossbar before entering the goal. The game ended 3 to 2 in favor of Brown Deer. Woodland: 1-2-0; Overall: 1-4-1
Game 7 - GHS at Kenosha Tremper. Not a very good start for the Panthers as they gave up four goals in the first half, followed by another four in the second resulting in the worst defeat of the season, 8 nil. Woodland: 1-2-0; Overall: 1-5-1
Game 8 - Greenfield @ GHS. Panthers found themselves down 1 nil in the 8th minute of the game. The first goal for Greendale was scored in the 30th minute by senior captain Michael Miksic, assisted by senior Adam Krecak. The second from GHS was scored with seconds left in the half by Krecak on an assist by Miksic making it 2 to 1 in favor of Greendale. The Hawks tied it up in the 70th minute of the game. The winner for the Panthers came off a free kick from Miksic with sophomore defender Sebastian Lechuga heading it in to the back of the net making it a 3 to 2 final. Woodland: 2-2-0; Overall: 2-5-1
Game 9 - Pewaukee @ GHS. Rough start once again for the Panthers giving up a goal in the third minute of the game on a long, outside shot. Greendale tied the game in the 56th minute of the game on a goal by sophomore forward Taylor Knepper, served inside (assist) by senior captain Michael Miksic. Pewaukee scored the game winner 5 minutes later on a deflection off a free kick resulting in a 2 to 1 loss, despite playing a quality match against the league leading Pirates. Woodland: 2-3-0; Overall: 2-6-1
Game 10 - GHS @ Wisconsin Lutheran. Greendale started strong in the game creating numerous scoring opportunities but could not find the back of the net. Unfortunately, WISCO scored on a corner kick in the middle of the second half resulting in a 1 nil loss. Woodland: 2-4-0; Overall: 2-7-1
Game 11 - GHS @ New Berlin West. The team started the game out well with good possession and opportunities to score in the hot weather. Unfortunately, they gave a goal up in the beginning of the first half. Sophomore Taylore Knepper scored on a head ball from a nice cross by senior captain Michael Miksic in the 35th minute to tie the game. New Berlin scored shortly before halftime as well as 2 more goals in the second half making it a 4 to 1 final in favor of the Vikings. Woodland: 2-5-0; Overall: 2-8-1
